A Few Chinese Proverb

  1. A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.
  2. He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
  3. Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still. 
  4. Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. 
  5. A single conversation with a wise man is better than ten years of study. 
  6. To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.
  7. When planning for a year, plant corn. When planning for a decade, plant trees. When planning for life, train and educate people.
